The entire gauge cluster on my Miata died thanks to the beautiful roads of my home state of Pennsylvania. While trying to fix it, my mechanic friend removed this from under the dash. It turns out the previous owner had installed an aftermarket alarm, but it wasn’t connected anymore. I’m still learning things about this car after years of ownership.

Haha I know what you mean. You never know what you’re gonna find in a 20+ year old car.

Those things can be a pain to remove.

There are few things more satisfying than looking at a huge chunk of aftermarket crap removed from one of my cars. Somewhere in my 996 there is a LoJack tracker. I will find that bastard some day.

This one involved a lot of electrical tape and twist ties. Not zip ties, twist ties like you’d use on a loaf of bread.

That’s impressive
